Product Support Engineer

We are currently recruiting for the role of Product Support Engineer. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing technical support to customers and working with the sales and R&D departments to develop and market the product to full potential.
The role requires a recognized third level qualification in a relevant discipline, a background in electrical/ electronic/ mechanical engineering is preferable. Initiative, a solid understanding of IT, good problem solving skills and a positive team-oriented attitude are all vital for this role.

Job Title: Product Support Engineer
Job Summary: Customer Technical Support
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support either remotely or in situ at customer sites
- Equipment Installation at customer sites
- Provide Technical expertise to the Sales group when readying equipment for customer demos, trade shows etc.
- Work with the Development group to develop and test new product features
- Interact with both the customers and the development group to understand the product feature set
Requirements:
- A recognized third level degree in a relevant discipline, a background in electrical/ electronic/ mechanical engineering is preferable
- Must have initiative, problem solving skills and a positive attitude
- Enthusiastic and capable of working in a team environment
- Possess good communication skills
- Must be computer literate
- Excellent English language skills both written and spoken
- An understanding of practical engineering processes will be a significant advantage
- A full driving licence and the ability to travel both within and outside of Ireland will be necessary
- Knowledge of industrial control and imaging systems would be desirable though not essential
