Crest Solutions, Ireland’s leader in machine vision, has announced an investment in the largest vision integration company in the Benelux.

VistaLink is based in Mechelen, Belgium and the investment sees the formation of one of the largest combined organisations in machine vision in Europe with 45 employees.

Crest Solutions and Vistalink have collaborated on a number of customer projects in the past, resulting in the partnership.  Speaking of the investment, CEO of Crest Solutions, Frank Madden said “The synergy between these two market leaders will create exciting opportunities for all involved. This move allows us to cement our position in the market place and provide a greater service and support to a wider network of customers who are operating in multinational environments. It also creates a new resource for customers planning multi-site projects including meeting international traceability regulations.”

Currently both companies compliment each other’s strengths as market leaders and experts in machine vision. They share a commitment to pioneering innovation and providing customers with expertise and lasting support.

Crest Solutions caters primarily to the pharmaceutical and medical production industries while VistaLink operates in the automotive, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and electronic industries in mainland Europe. Crest Solutions and VistaLink are among the largest partner system integrators of Cognex vision hardware in Europe.
